Over the last 20 years I have been loyal to one Chinese food restaurant in town. I expect average quality food, standard selection, quick service, and reasonable prices from them. During the month of September 2012 I picked up my $75 order and returned home to feed my family of 6 with it. The food was so greasy & salty, that it was obvious that whomever made it did not care. I was quite disappointed, but where else could I go?
I asked a large group of parents on my child's elementary school field trip: "Where in Abbotsford can I get good Chinese food?" Their answer was unanimous: "There is no good Chinese food here."
So I went on yelp and decided to check out a "new to me" restaurant. I chose Golden Dragon because of their proximity to my home and their few good reviews.
Long story short: it was not greasy, and it was definitely not salty. The food was hot & fresh (especially the Wonton soup).
During my second, third, and fourth visit I learned the following: Golden Dragon has been open for many years in Abbotsford (I think they said around 10). It is a family run restaurant: wife works phone & counter, and husband prepares all the food. The Wonton soup is prepared daily, and it has been great every time. They do not use MSG and you can request less garlic (if that's they way you like it). The prices are fantastic too.
So for now I am happy with great food, great prices, and a great family that cares about what they are serving their neighbours. -

Worst Chinese I've ever had, got the fried rice, chow mien, beef and broccoli and honey garlic pork, it was horrible. The rice was plain, not seasoned AT ALL just hard white rice with pieces of stale pork, the chow mien was hard and bland and not edible at all, beef and broccoli was soggy and old tasting like it's been sitting for a few hours, the brocolli was mushy and the beef was spongy and the pork was rock hard overall increadibly dissapointed

Lettuce wraps were delicious! Everything else was take it or leave it. Didn't really enjoy the chicken fried rice (looked more like white people rice lol) or house crunchy chow mein. Sprig rolls were okay nothing special. Lemon chicken was good but way too drenched in sauce. I wouldn't recommend it.

Mediocre food. Very bland. As far as flavour goes, if you put soy sauce on the food it makes it taste like soy sauce.
